    Because latin is useful for explaining the roots of .our language and widening our vocabularies because many words in latin have parts similar to words in english.

    We still study Latin because it is the root of all European languages.Latin is the backbone as well of the medical terminology.

    one reason we study Latin today is because it improves a student's English vocabulary since so many words are fabricated from that language.

    Because learning Latin will inhance our knowledge of our own language, because most of the words in the english language originate from latin roots.

    We study latin today because it helps us to understand the english language more thouroghly. On the vocabulary section of the S.A.Ts it will help us to figure out what words mean. Also it's used a lot in the medical field.

    We study latin today because a lot of words in english that we use today and even in other languages it will have a latin root. Knowing what these latin roots mean will give you a better understanding on what the whole word itself means.

    Many of our word roots come from Latin. So if you understand Latin you will understand the English language and vocabulary better.

    We study Latin today for a variety of reasons. If you notice many words today come from a latin root.. For example, aquatic meaning being in or related to water.The latin word aqua acutally means water. Also, Latin also helps to understand the world around us and the different cultures. A culture that is totally different than how people view things today.

    Latin is still stduied today as it not only is an interresting language but a part of ancient culture and the root of the Romance Languages, some of the manjor languages spoken in the world today. Roman history has made a huge impact on the world today (such as government, culture, etc.)

    We continue to study Latin today because many words we commonly use derive from Latin words. Knowing Latin roots can help you figure out the meaning of an unfamiliar word without a dictionary, computer, or any other concrete resource. Latin also shares similar grammar with foreign languages. So by studying and understanding Latin grammar, you'll find learning another language alot easier.

    Latin is the root of many languages and many words in English come from Latin. Latin will also help us in our study of biology this year because many of the names that make up the classification of living things are from Latin.
